Pioneer / Founder of SCI

German senior rock climber and mountaineer Nicholas Mailander and his wife Elizabeth Mailander are the pioneer of the SCI.

Nicholas has written various books on the mountaineering and rock climbing.

He is part of DAV-section Bayerland (German Alpine Club).

Late Liz (Elizabeth) was also a very senior mountaineer and participated in first successful women’s expedition to Mt. Annapurna.
